If you want to work as a registered general nurse in Germany without any restrictions, you need a state license. This license acknowledges you as a registered general nurse and entitles you to practice the profession.

To be able to work in Germany, speaking the German language is a must. Therefore, the German government requires foreign health care professionals to study the language up to level B2. 

Studying German from A1 to B2 takes on average 8-10 months.
